A teenage girl struggles to survive and find her younger sister during the July 2011 terrorist shooting at a summer camp on the Norwegian island of Utøya.
On July 22, 2011 more than 500 youth at a summer camp on Utøya island outside Oslo were attacked by an armed, right-wing extremist. In this fictional account of the attack, we get to know young Kaja and her friends. The youngsters, shocked by a sudden bomb explosion in Oslo, are reassured by their relatives that they are far away from the incident, but their safety is soon shattered when they begin to hear shots on the island. We then follow Kaja as she tries to survive – minute by minute.
